Years ago when I was much younger I started an informal group with my best friend Mike and my youngest brother Norman called "The Eating Regiment". It came about innocently enough from a contest to see who could eat the most Gene and Jude's hotdogs in one sitting. As I said we were alot younger and those days were much simpler and to me... alot more fun.
Since then Mike and I are still best friends, but now an hour's drive away, Norman goes by Pete and moved to Georgia, and I haven't had Gene and Jude's for quite awhile. But... when Jean and I decided to change our blog's name to encompass more posters, there was only one name that felt right.
So welcome to our blog. We're not food critics so you won't find "stars", "forks", or even "thumbs" going up and down. Instead, we have pictures of good food and people enjoying them. Simply... if you find an eatery on our blog you can assume our "thumbs up". Oh and if you're wondering... I ended up eating a measly four hot dogs with fries, Norm had six, and Mike became the Regiment's unofficial leader by eating ten.

Cafe Petersborg - Copenhagen, Denmark
Cafe Petersborg is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen whose history dates back to 1750. It got its Russian name "Petersborg" because the building housed the Russian consulate at that time and many Russian sailors - mostly from Saint Petersburg - touched at Copenhagen Custom House to satisfy their hunger and quench their thirst in these surroundings when on leave. The restaurant serves good, traditional Danish simple food.
